JEWESSES EXCLUDED
FROM MID.SURREY GOLF CLUB ACTION CONDEMNED IN LONDON BY TELEGBAPH.-PBESS ASSOCIATION. - Copt bight, London, November 10. London golf clubs unanimously condemn the Mid-Surrey Club's action in vetoing the membership of Jewish women, the secretary of the Beckenham Club asking what would be the position if the Rothschilds, Monds, and Readings applied for mSinbersliip. Others suggest that the name of MidSurrey be changed to “Jledievalo,” and congratulate the Jews on being spared association with persons plainly of inferior culture. Mrs. Truscott, captain of the ladies section of the Mid-Surrey Chib, said: “We have a perfect right to do what we desire. We do not want Jewesses as members. Therefore we have decided to exclude them.” . Sir Robert Donald declares tnat such ostracism suggests a throw-back to the bad old days.
