“IMPOSSIBLE TO SELL” IN LONDON ... Dominion Special. Auckland/ November 11. Latest " advices from ■ London indicate that the New Zealand dairy produce market is still a very unhappy condition. One . report received in Auckland to-day said that the market was weak and irregular. There was no demand for New Zealand butter, traders resenting the control policy. This., message was dispatched from London on . Wednesday, but much stronger terms were used in the report sent two days previously. This message said: “Impossible to sell. Trade boycotting New Zealand butter, on account of control. Market demoralised. Quotations: 13Ss. to 14us. for free butter’’’ , . The New Zealand Loan end. Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., to-day re- j ceived the following cablegram from it# London office, dated November 10: —“Butter: New. Zealand, choicest, stored, 140 s. to 1425.; market cuiet; controlled, 148 s. to 1505.; very little sold. Cheese: White, controlled, 86s. to 87s. j coloured, 85s. to 865.; market steady. At this time last vear New Zealand stored 'butter was selling on the London market at from 2065. to 210 s. per cwt. and suppliers were receiving advances of up to Is. 6d. per lb against the new season’s produce. The latest quotations from London for fre£ butter are equivalent to approximately Is. l|d. per lb., Lob,, the butterfat payment being Is. 1.38 d. per lb. to suppliers of home separated cream, and .19! 0.99 d. to whole milk/suppliers
