RUGBY LEAGUE

FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY. A meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby League was held last evening. The following delegates were present:—Alessrs. 11. Aird (chairman), S. Simpson, T. Coulter, W. Alartin, H. Alayo, T. Stevens, J. Duskc, A Withy, R. Buckland (secretary) . Correspondence was received from the New Zealand Council relating to the appointment of a selector for the New Zealand team to visit Australia, and it was decided to nominate Air. B. J. Sterling. Two new teams applied for affiliation, Rovers and Petone South, as senior teams, and both were accepted. Air. C. Opie was appointed as Wellington delegate on the New Zealand Council. Alessrs. T. H. Stevens, J. Slocombe, and 11. Nunn were elected as selectors for the senior grade. Fixtures as follows weije alloted for Saturday:—Senior: Newtown v. City, Emerson Street, 3 p.m.; Petone v. Hutt, Petone No. 1, 3 p.m.; Rovers v. South, Petone No. 2, 3 p.m.
