FRANCE’S WAR DEBT
SIR JOHN BRADBURY ON HER CAPACITY TO PAY / (Rec. Alay 9, 5.5 p.m.) r, London, Alay 1. Sir John Bradbury, at Alanchester. said there was no doubt whatever France could make a considerable contribution towards the payment of her debt to Britain and America. France had production in excess of consumption far greater than any nation in Europe. France, however, pleaded, with a certain amount of reason, that there were moral considerations which should induce her creditors to treat her favourably. It was possible that if we put our demands too high France would find repudiation would suit her better than an attempt to meet her obliga-tions.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
