With the approval of the Church Assembly, an overseas settlement council has been formed in order that all the moral and material • forces of the Church of England at home and abroad may be placed at the disposal of official and other organisations engaged in migration. The council will, if needed, help migrants financially, provide for their reception and after-care, and supply letters of introduction. It was announced at a -meeting of the League of Nations Union in London that Colonel David Davies, a member of the House of Commons, had promised £6500 spread over 61 years to be devoted mainly to the work of the union in the Dominions. The pilot was incinerated, and two others were badly burned and are in hospital. The .cruiser Concord has arrived at Sydney to replace the cruiser Brisbane. The Concord is the first British warship to joint the Australian Navy under the exchange arrangement. The Brisbane has joined the China station. Mr. Orville Wright announces from Dayton, Ohio, that the original Wright airplane, invented by him and his brother Wilbur, and which made the first flight on December 17, 1903, will be sent to the “Times” Museum, South Kensington, England. He said that no suitable home for the machine could be found in America, and this, along with entreaties from friends in England, led him to offer it to the "Times” Aluseum, where there is already an exhibit of historic experiments in aviation.
