SCOTS COLLEGE SPORTS
SEVERAL RECORDS BROKEN. The annual sports in connection with Scots College were held yesterday in tho presence of a large gathering of interested spectators. Tho day was remarkable for tho number of records broken; fibs performances of Tait and Mexted being particularly meritorious, the farmer putting up the excellent time of 10 l-ssec. in the 100yds. senior championship. The senior championship cup fell to Tait, tho intermediate championship to Nottage, an'd the junior championship to Mexted. Tho competition throughout was keen and tho events were got through with commondablo promptness, and much credit is duo to Mr. J. W. Bird for the efficient manner in which the meeting was organised and controlled. Afternoon 1 tea was served in t'he college buildings, where tho boys were assiduous in their attention to the visitors. £ho results of the various events aro as follow: — Records (previous records in ixirentheses) :—looyds. open, Tait, 10 l-ssec.
