Sir,—As in past years, will you most kindly allow me to make an appeal to 'your readers re our work? lor the past twenty-three years between one hundred and sixty and one hundred and seventy picnics have been held for seafarers on the general holidays of the year—picnics that have become possible, wet or hne through' the courtesy of tho Press and the kindness of the public. - Wo hope, as usual, to arrange for picnic's for tho strangers within our gates on Christmas, Boxing. New Year, and Anniversary Days, and should deem i a jrreat favour if your many readers would aid us with gifts in money or kind. All g<fts itill be gladly acknowleMav” I add that our fine buildings, the gift of the late Mrs. M.’ A. Williams, are always open for the inspection of tho public.-! am, etc., Missioner.
