GERMANY TAKING TRADE FROM BRITAIN CONTINUED SHRINKAGE IN REVENUE By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Cape Town, November 18. Commercial circles in Johannesburg confirm the statement that Germany is making large captures of trade formerly done by Britain, especially in j. ining material. The prices are such as to eliminate the idea of British competition. The continued shrinkage of tho revenue is causing perturbation in official circles in Cape Town, especially in view of the possible closing down of lowgrade mines, which will aggravate tin unemployment problem.
