FIJI TARIFF
INCREASES APPROVED. (Rec. November 11, 5 5 p.m.) Suva, Noreml'cr' 11. Tho Legislative Council has passed the increased tariff. It h.is reini’X.-sed tho duty on foodstuffs, l-'crcihii goods will pay extra duty from Jauvr.rv next. Crude oil and coal arc free. An export duty of 20s. per ton has been imposed on molasses. Mr. Hedsticm dissenting. The income tax minimum has been reduced to £5(10 for married persons and £250 for single persons.—A-i:-.-N .Z. Cable Assn. 1
