DOMINION BOY SCOUTS

A STRIKING DEMONSTRATION.

A striking demonstration of efficiency was given by the Wellington South de-* t.acliment of'the Dominion Boy Scouts nt the Town Hall last night on the occasion of their annual concert. The various troons, under their scoutmasters, paraded at tho Post Office Square at 7 o’clock, and made, a brave show as they marched, 700 or 890 strong, through the principal streets of tn'e city to the Town Hall. Here a large audience had assembled to show their sympathy with the Boy Scout, movement, and incidentally to see the rare demonstration which the Scouts had promised. This was something well worth seeing and tho large audience were kept keenly interested and excellently entertained the whim tho Scouts held the stage. The pro•rrammo submitted was as follows: orchestral item. Y.M.C.A Troop: swear-tm’-in ceremony and scout law, Brooklyn TivKip: signalling. St. Peters Church Troop; life-saving and swimming drill Bovs'—lnstitute Troop: physical drill and ambulance, St- Paul’s Troop; humn ladders and bridges, St. tPeter s Mission Troop; statuary, Congregational Hoop, sketch, "The Brigands, Y.M.C.'x. ri A°piensing programme of songs part songs, choruses, recitations, amil damns was sandwiched in between flie Tho T.vric (Viarlet provided an excel lent entertaintnent in themsehcs. . ' The demonstration will be continue this evening, when another ™ost. al tractive programme will be submitted. ■ I friends of the Boy Scouts, who undertook to conduct the soiling ot flowers, sweets, and cakes during did a brisk business last mgh . He programme which will *be presented this evenfng will include a camp fire scene, n tableau "Camp Life”; a demonst ation of bridge building, and an exhibition of boxing by the Trent ham Troop.
