DOMINION BOY SCOUTS

At a meeting of the Boy Scout officers and sympathisers of the movement, held in tho Y.M.C.A. Rooms, it was decided to form a local association for the City of Wellington. By-laws were drafted for its government, and the following officers were elected President, Colonel V . H. S Moorhouse; vicc-presidents, Messrs. K Daniel, H. McLeod, H. Baldwin W. Johnson, A. Kinvig, and Captain Chudlev; provincial commissioner, the Itev. T Feildcn Taylor; secretary and treasurer, Mr. D: McKenzie; executive committee, Mesdames Murphy, Kinvig, and McKenzie, Messrs. Parsons, Bivines, and Daniels, and Scoutmasters Phillips, Donkin, Beviers, Johnson. Bell, and the itev. F. T. Read. , After this business had been dealt with the secretary reported that everything was in train for a successful demonstration in the Town Hall on Friday and Saturday nights. The troops had gone heartily into the various items they had promised to provide, and the promise was that the whole would be a striking example of what Boy Scouting i sub-committee of ladies was set up to arrange for the selling of sweets flowera, and cakes. Tho committee will be in attendance at the Town Hall from two to five o'clock on Friday afternoon to receive donations, from the P ! ' rc ““ 3 of the boys and sympathisers with the movement. , , . It was decided to hold a march-out or the troops both nights, assembling in Post Office Square at 7 o clock and marching via Willis Street, Manners Street, and Cuba Street to the Town Hall. Scoutmaster W. Phillips will be in charge of the parade on Fn day night, and Scoutmaster W. Mason on Saturday night. Full details of the programme will bo found in an advertisement in another column. 4 contingent of Greytown Boy Scouts is coming down to witness the demonstration, and an appeal is extended to town bovs to billet them from Ihursday xdght till Monday morning.
