Then Collins fell to a good catch. Two for 118. Gregory before he got going was missed by Nupen off his own bowling. Macartney and Ryder kept the fieldsmen busy, the bowlers being frequently changed. The partnership added 107. Macartney got his century in 97 minutes. He was nicely caught behind the wicket. Ryder quickly followed—beaten by Blanckenburg. Carter’s bowling was excellent.
