“As a general rule, stationmasters at country stations issue tickets to passengers right up io the time of departure of the trains, and instances in which trains are kept at stations while the wants of belated passengers are being attended to at ticket-windows are not infrequent,” said the Minister of Railways yesterday in reply to a ouestion addressed to him by Mr. T. D. Burnett. “Attention will, however, be directed to tho matter, with a view to seeing that the wants of persons who reacS country stations before trains are due to leave are provided for.”
