THE SPRINGBOKS’ TOUR

INVITATION TO ALL BLACKS SUGGESTED. Cape Town, October 27. At a civic welcome at Durban Mr. Bennett, the manager of the Springboks, spoke of Rugby as being a sort of religion in New Zealand. For some reason the Ne,w Zealanders regarded themselves as champions of Rugby, and ignored the Springboks, but the latter had shown that South Africans could play football, and that the African’ formation was barter. The Africans also learned much from the New Zralanders. Ho paid a high tribute to the enthusiasm in the sport in New Zealand compared with South Africa. The "All Blocks” should be invited to South Africa.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
