OVERSEAS SETTLEMENT
DEFINITE PROPOSALS SOUGHT. (Rec. October 28, 10.15 p.m.) London, October 27. Colonel Amery, chairman of the Overseas Settlement Committee, conferred with' the Dominion emigration representatives with a view to obtaining definite proposals on which, the Government could base a Bill for submission to next session authorising emigration in accordance with the two millions’ loan scheme adopted .by the Imperial Conference. Australia’s proportion is estimated nt two hundred thousand. —Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
