A comprehensive report has been io-' sued by the Board of Trade dealing with the manufacture of meat flour, a new industry based on the invention of Mr. 1 W. I?. Remus, an Auckland farmer, and taken up by a company. The company’s works are at Rangataua. The report states that just’ as it is possible io manufacture dried milk or milk powder from whole milk or skim milk, so also is it possible to make dried meat-flour from fresh meat. Meat-flour is defined, as the lcan~nieat of sheep and cattle reduced- by 'special process to a fine meal or flour.
