A Press Association message from Melbourne states that Mr. Andrew Fisher, rate High Commissioner for Australia, with his family, has returned to England to permanently reside there.

Mr. C. du Meyer, tho only member of the Springbok team who remained in New Zealand, has been making a tour of tho thermal district and tho Waikato.

Lieutenant-Colonel Gist, who for seven years was principal of tho Salvation Army Training College, Wellington, has been transferred to Australia, and with Mrs. Gist toft for Sydney last week by tho Marama. Adjutant Copp, who for seven years was associated with Colonel Gist, lias proceeded fo the .Army’s mission’ fields in India. Within the last two years the organisation has sent eleven of its officers to mission fields in East Africa, Java, and India, and hopes to send another contingent to India and China.

Mr. W. H. Cocker, 8.A., LL.B., F.R.E.S-, was for tho second year one of the lecturers at the W.D.A. annual summer school, which was held at Oxford a. few weeks ago. He expects to arrive back in New Zealand about the end cf November by tho lonic. Mr. Noble, a wMI-known English boxer, ami Mrs. Noble were arrivals bv the Paloona from Melbourne yesterday.
