NEW ZEALAND MEAT
POOLING OF SMALL CONSIGNMENTS URGED. (Rec. October 23, 5.5 p.m.) London, October 22. The London moat importers’ conference unanimously decided to urge producers in Now Zealand again to consider the advisableness of pooling small consign'menis under ono mark. The congestion of meat in tho United Kingdom has been seriously aggravated by tho multiplicity of marks, which have hindered ships unloading mid causefl deterioration through tho frequent opening of tho hatches and extra handling, besides increasing the cost. Those handicaps are non-existent in other meats, notably South American, which is shipped in long lines all under the saino marks—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
