DEATH OF SENATOR KNOX
AUTHOR OF PEACE RESOLUTIONS. (Rec. October 13, 8.5 p.m.) Washington, October 12. Senator Philander-Cha.se Knox, of Pennsylvania, died from a paralytic stroke while on his way to the diningroom in his home here this evening. Ho returned from England yesterday, after a three weeks’ health trip. He was feeling well. He was an ex-Secretary of State, and served under Presidents M'Kinley, Roosevelt, and Taft. Ho was tho author of the peace resolutions in the Senate. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
