BRITISH EMIGRANTS
NUMBERS DISPATCHED TO AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND. London, October 12. Mr. Percy Hunter, Australian Immigration Officer, reports that 7296 emigrants wero dispatched to Australia in the seven months ended September 30, New South Wales receiving 2097, Victoria 2607, Queensland 531, Tasmania 377, and South Australia 359. Tho West Australian figures are incomplete, having joined the Commonwealth on August 2, since when 325 have been dispatched. Ex-service men totalled 5743, and included 702 farm workers, 3-139 nominees, and 208 domestics. The civilians totalled 1553, including 63 farm workers, 1248 nominees, 106 domestics, and 103 boys. This month’s departures will average 400. The New Zealand Office is dispatching 300 monthly in October nnd November, and thereafter ■ double that number. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. ,
