ANNUAL CONFERENCE. B.v Telegraph.-Press Association. Wanganui, October 13. Tho Baptist Union Conference was continned to-day. The financial statement showed a total incom on the general account.of -C1777, with a .(mall debit balance. A strong protest was made against the proposed increase of gambling facilities. A proposal tp establish an effective, young people’s department was warmly discussed. The scheme was generally .approved, particulars being handed back to a committee to report later in the session. A young people’s demonstration hold in the evening was a. great success.
