COMPANIES OPERATING PROFITABLY REGAINING SOUTH AMERICAN TRADE By Telegraph— Preen Association—Copyright Washington, October 8. An official review of German shipping shows that Germany is regaining the South American trade. Seventeen Hamburg companies are operating, profitably, while American ships aro barely paying expenses. Tho Germans aro exporting largely to Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico. The report states that numerous British and American ships are being repaired in Germany, because the cost is 30 por cent, cheaper than in New York. —Reuter.
