The Federal authorities have arrested George Gordon Rorke, one of a group of four who, it is claimed, attempted to ship 600 machine-guns to Ireland last June. Rorke, who is an American citizen, is charged with conspiracy in planning a military expedition against a friendly Power, and, if found guilty, he will 'be liable to a 10,000-dollar fine and three years’ imprisonment.—Aus.-N.Z-Cable .Assn.
