MAGISTRATE’S COURT
ALLEGED THEFT OF POULTRY. Cecil Glen. A. Rossiter appeared before Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court on Saturday morning, charged with stealing a case of poultry, value At 10s., tho property of Charles S. Clarke, also with making a false order for certain goods purporting to be required by C. S. Clarke, knowing the same to be false, and with intent that it should be acted on as genuine. Chief Detective Ward, in asking for a remand until said that the charge of forgery was one of 14 charges to *be preferred against the accused, and the charge of theft was part of another charge involving ri?2SO. Tho remand was granted. For drunkenness, George Miller, against whom there were two previous convictions, was fined 205.. with tho option of three days’ imprisonment.
