JUDGE’S ADVICE TO HUSBANDS
“Keep your wife amused if you would keep her at all" is the fundamental principle advanced for successful marriages by Judge Joseph Sabath, of the Superior Court, according to a Chicago message in the “Now York Sun.” The Judge should know whereof he speaks, having disposed of no fewer then 2000 ■divorce cases in the last ten months. Of these women complainants outnumbered men nearly two to one. The following are a few of the admonitions advanced by Judge Sabath for securing happiness in married life: “Every man should see that his wife Jias plenty of entertainment. Take her to the movies, auto rides, theatres, as often as you can afford to go. Go swimming with her if she likes it. “A husband should confide his business affairs to his wife end she should take an interest in them. “Have children. “Know each other well before marriage. “Realise the responsibility of the marriage relation, bear and forbear. “Move away from each other’s families. Don’t live with them. “It is better to live in a simple little love-nest alone than Tn a palace with the members of the family of either •me.”
