Airplanes were sold at Lincoln aerodrome disposal sale on May 21 for 3s. each (says the “Dally Chtonicle”). All the machines, which had become out of date after several years of service, were offered by the auctioneer without their wings anil engines. Nevartholess, every purchaser, for his 35., obtained the body of the machine, the copper fittings and pipes, which together cost originally hundreds of pounds. The majority of the airplanes were bought to bo broken up aa firewood!
