ANNUAL MEETING OF ASSOCIA-

TION.

TE® annual meeting of the Wellington branch of the Now Zealand Association of Superannuated Public Servants was held yesterday. Tho president, Captain Barclay, was in the chair. The report and balance-sheet, a precis of which has been already published, were adopted after a short discussion. Officers for the ensuing year were elect, ed as follow President, Captain Barclay; vice-president, Mr. H. E. Gilbert; secretary and treasurer. Mr. George Worsfold; executive) Messrs. J. B. Armit. G. Girling-Butcher, E. C, Hyde, W. Makin, and F. W. Revell. On the motion of Sir Edward Gibbs, a hearty vote of thanks was accorded the Civil Service Club for its generosity in allowing the association the use of a room for holding its meetings throughout the year, free of charge. Some discussion took place relative to the conference of tho federated branches of the association throughout tho Dominion, which is to be held immediately after Parliament meets, with a view Io approaching the House of Representatives with regard to certain matters of vital interest to rnembers, recently ventilated at a general meeting of the asso. ciation. The association will be represented at tho conference.
