Commencing on Monday, August 22. par eel mails will close at the Chief Post Office twice daily, namely, at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The morning mails will comprise those for dispatch by steamer sailing between noon and 5 p.m, and. by trains leaving at 12.10 p.m. or later same day. The afternoon mails w«ill comprise those for dispatch by steamer sailing after 5 n.m. and before noon following day. and by trains leaving on the following day before 12.10 p.m, excent mails for Hutt and Petone, which will go forward on afternoon of posting. Parcels prepaid express-transit fee of 6d. will continue to be accepted up to time of closing letter-mails. OUTGOING OVERSEA MAILS. The next best dispatch for correspondence addressed to United Kingdom. Continent of Europe, and America will he via San Francisco, per R.M.S. Manama, riosing at Wellington on Tuesday, August 30, at 1 p.m. Mails for Australian States close at Wellington Thursday. August 25. nt 6 p.m.; connecting with Makurn, closing at Auckland Friday, August 26. at 3 p.m. INCOMING OVERSEA MAILS. (Arrival dates approximate only.) S.S. Rimutaka left Ixmdon on July 7: due about August 22 She carries mail for New Zealand. ; R. Makurn left Vancouver on August 6 for Auckland; due about August. 27. She carries 544 bags mail for New Zealand. S. Ruapehu left London ”n July 29; duo about September 8. S.S. Oorinthic left London on July 28; dun about Sontember 7.
