FIRST LINK IN USE. London, August 18. The Postmaster-General, Mr. F. G. Kellaway, opened the Laafield wireless station.' the first link in the Imperial wireless chain. Another station, now in course of construction at Banbury, will bo used in conjunction with Leafield. Mr. Kellaway sent the first message of greeting to the British stations within range, trusting that the station would help to knit still closer the bonds binding the different parts of the Empire.— Aus.-N.Z.
