Roderick Maclean, who shot at Queen Victoria at the railway station at Windsor in 1882, died a few weeks ego in Broatlmoor Asylum; He was 27 when he attempted to take tho Queen’s life, and' was charged at the Berkshire Assizes with high treason. He liad a six-cham-bered revolver and 11 cartridges when arrested. Though the jury acquitted him of high treason, lie was found to bo a dangerous lunatic.
