PORT LYTTELTON LEAVES PANAMA The 0. and D. liner Port Lyttelton, which left London on July 22, left Panama on Wednesday for Auckland. She is due there about September 5, and should be here a week later From Wellington she will go to Napier.

THE BARQUE REWA. It is expected that tho barque Rewa will sail on Wednesday for Lyttelton to complete loading of her wool cargo , for London. The Bewa is not visiting Timaru now. but will sail for London direct from Lyttelton THE PORT BOWEN. The Port Bowen in to leave Auckland on Tuesday for Wellington, and is due here on Thursday. She has 1700 tons of cargo for discharge and will then go to Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharge, afterwards loading Homeward on the New Zealand coast. Messrs. Bannatyne and Company are the local agents. ULIMAROA DUE TO-MORROW. The Huddart-Parker. steamer Ulimaroa is due to-morrow morning from Sydney. She is to sail on the return trip on Thursday. KETCH nUANUI. The ketch Huanul. which, it will be remembered, stranded on Waikanae Beach, Gisborne, on May 14. was towed into Auckland last Wednesday in a leaky condition The vessel was on her way from Whangarei with a cargo of cement, when it was discovered that she was making water, and, with the assistance of. a tug, was taken in tow from Tiritiri, and brought safely in to port. She was making a fair amount of water at the time, which, however, wan kept In check by the pumps on deck. THE 'COLUMBIA RIVER. The schooner Columbia River arrived at Auckland from Newcastle recently, and experienced very heavy weather, several of her sails being blown away The Columbia River, which is a five-masted schooner, is rigged with yards on four of her masts, each carrying a triangular sail. She is a vessel of 1065 tons register, and is in command of Captain Murchison. She is under charter to Messrs. J. H. Redpath and Sons. Ltd., and brought 4454 hardwood poles for electric power boards, stated to be the largest shipment of poles that has left Australia in one bottom. The following vessels were expected to be within range of the undermentioned wireless stations last night:—Awanui—Tofua, Kaiwarra, Manuka, Ulimaroa, Kauri, West Camargo, Maindy Lodge. Niagara, Rakanoa, Waipori. Auckland —Marama, Karori Walruna l Omana, Port Lincoln. Wellington—Maori, Mararoa, Mapourika, Somerset, Ruahino. Donald M’Kay, Kanna-, •’ Eastern Planet, Arahura. Kawatiri, Aroona. Awarua—Whangape. Paloona. The Rona is expected to sail for Newcastle to-day. The Waihora will not get away for Newcastle until Tuesday. Captain F Woods is in command of the Opua. while Captain F. Dewhurst is on holiday leave. The Kahika arrived from Greymouth, last night. She is to sail on Monday for Westport to load for Napier and Gisborne The Corinna may call at Wellington next Thursday while en route from Nelson to New Plymouth. The Scales sailer Ysabel is expected to leave Auckland on Tuesday for Niue.
