At Mnsterton yesterday. His Honour Mr. Justice Hosking delivered judgment in the case of the estate of Thomas Wil : liamson Piggott Hardy, a bankrupt, in re Wright, Stephenson and Co. On July 15 last the Deputy Official Assignee initiated proceedings to have certain securities given by the bankrupt to Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., set aside. Several- formal orders were made by His Honour in the course of a lengthy judgment. By it the company granted an additional fortnight in which to prove its claim until the motion to set aside had been finally disposed of. With regard to a request from tho company that a claim that chattel security be declared null and void be struck out, the Judge stated:—"This is not an order which should be made at this stage, but should be left until the motion to set aside is dealt with. If thq retention of that claim has become superfluous, as is suggested, it will be in the power of the Court on dealing with the Biotion to set aside, and if it sees fit, to provide for any costs to which the 'Company maj necessarily be put, in consequence.” DESPERATE COUGHS OVERCOME.
