BOXING
Patrons of boxing should be well catered for on Monday night, when the third professional tournament of the season is to be held. The main attraction will be a fifteen-round contest between Williams and Dwyer, both well known as clever, forceful light-weight exponents. In , a previous meeting between the two at Napier ths contest was declared, a draw, after what is said to be one of tho finest contests staged in the history of the Napier Association. Tho preliminaries promise interesting contests. Those engaged are Pearce v. M'Kenzie (Napier), Rusterholtz v. M'Morran, Porter v. M'Arty. The association directs the attention of all patrons to the fact that the main entrance from Cuba Street will bo closed on this occasion, and that admission will be by the Wakefield Street eiiifonce, on tho south side of the Town Hall. The box plan opened yesterday, and a steady demand for seats has been experienced. Tickets for other portions ot the hall may also be procured at Howe and Sowman's and Ned Perry’s.
