QUEENSLAND MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
4 GOVERNMENT’S RESPONSIBILITY FOR LABOUR'S DEFEAT. Brisbane, August 3. The Metropolitan District Labour Council has expressed the opinion that the Government must shoulder the responsibility of the defeat of the Labour candidates at the municipal elections. It passed the following resolution: — "That this council is of opinion that if the Government Is not prepared to adhere to the principles of the Labour platform it had better resign- office."— Press Assn.
