Mr. Edwin Naulty, American meteorologist, has announced that he will make a flight across the Arctic Ocean to the North Pole, and thence to Spitzbergen, to the North Cape in Norway. A start will be made from Point Barrow, Alaska, in September. A stop will be made at the Pole for observation. One aeroplane will bo used, and there will be three pilots besides himself. Mr. Naultv declares that the adventure is not an incentive, but he hopes to accomplish certain scientific results and study Arctic air currents, magnetic variation. and inclination.
