Meanwhile, the British, French, and Italian Ambassadors had been jointly notified that Germany would be prepared to facilitate the transit of Allied troops at any moment when the situation in Silesia rendered that course necessary. Mr. Lloyd George and Lord Curzon will attend the meeting of the Supreme Council, as the representatives of Britain. and will go to Paris on Sunday.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. appeal to Inhabitants TO ACT WITH RESTRAINT. London, August 1. Both the Central and the Prussian Governments have appealed to all inhabitants in Silesia to act with restraint in order to make an unbiased decision by the Supreme Council possible. _ They urge Germans generally, who wish to serve the German cause, to keep cool. — Aus.-N.Z. The Berlin Government has issued an appeal to the people of Upper Silesia to adopt an attitude of restraint in order to make possible an unbiased decision.
