ACCOUNTANT STUDENTS
The Wellington Accountant Students’ Society bold its public speaking competition last evening for a trophy donated by tho president, Mr. E. W. Hunt. Thera was a good attendance, over which Mr. Hunt presided. Mr. W. Appleton was the judge. There were eight competitors. The contest was won by Mr. L. A. Jones, whose subject was "Foreign Exchanges.' with 8G points; Mr. F. Harris, “Book Debts and their Valuation” being second, with 81; ami W. F. Stock “Valuation of Stock-In-Trade” third, with 83. A special j/.ize i»ns awarded Mr. W. Miller, who was called away before completing his speech, “Executorship Accounts.”
