HIGHER FEES TO BE CHARGED. Authority for tire preparation of regulations to provide for the following increases in fees for vehicle licenses was sought by the By-laws Committee at the City Council meeting last night:— Bug-
In reply to questions. Councillor Luckio (chairman of the committee) §aid thnt tho proposed charges were in general in lino with those prevailing in other big centres th the Dominion. Councillor B. G. H. Burn made a. noint thnt the extra revenue derived from the license fees should 1 be earmarked for expenditure on the roads. Tho recommendation was adopted.
