THE LIGOURI CASE
VERDICT NOT TO BE APPEALED AGAINST. (Rec. July 22, 1.15 a.m.) Sydney, July 21. Counsel for Miss Partridge (ex-Sister Ligouri) has decided not to appeal against the verdict as Miss Partridge stated when she brought the action that she did not want damages, but desired to vindicate her character. She considers the jury’s answers a thorough vindication, and that no good purpose would be served by appealing.—Press Assn.
