GREEKS’ SUCCESS
TURKISH POSITIONS OVERWHELMED BY SERIES OF TURNING MOVEMENTS By Telegranh—Press Association— Oonvright (Rec. July 21, 8.10 p.m.) Athens, July 20. A semi-official account of the operations in Asia Minor states that the Turkish positions wore overwhelmed by a series of turning movements. Thus Krithia, which was defended by 160 guns, was abandoned owing to the concentric 1 advance of four columns, ending a four days’ battle. It is estimated that 80,000 Turks were taken prisoner. It is hoped that the advance now proceeding will cut the Turkish communications between Krithia, Eskishehr, and Angora, and enable the success at Krithia to be repeated.—Reuter. NAVAL FORCE^T~CONSTANTINOPLE Rome July 20. Tho Dreadnought Duilio has gone to Constantinople, to reinforce the Italian squadron. Other warships are to follow. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
