REIGN OF TERROR IN FITZROY

REPETITION OF THE SHOOTING. (Rec. July 19. 9.35 p.m.) Melbourne, July 19. After a break of two years, there has been a repetition of the cases of shooting which caused a reign of terror in Fitzroy in 1919. A mob gathered in front of a house, at which they fired fourteen revolver shots. Tho police were quickly on tho scene, and found only two men with revolvers in their hands-. They .surrounded thorn, and arrested and charged them with attempted murder. It ie stated that other gunmen decamped on hearing tho news of the approach of the police.
