REIGN OF TERROR IN FITZROY
REPETITION OF THE SHOOTING. (Rec. July 19. 9.35 p.m.) Melbourne, July 19. After a break of two years, there has been a repetition of the cases of shooting which caused a reign of terror in Fitzroy in 1919. A mob gathered in front of a house, at which they fired fourteen revolver shots. Tho police were quickly on tho scene, and found only two men with revolvers in their hands-. They .surrounded thorn, and arrested and charged them with attempted murder. It ie stated that other gunmen decamped on hearing tho news of the approach of the police. There were no casualties. —Press Assn.
