VISIT TO SAMOA
BUSY TIME FOR MINISTER OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS SCHEME OF ADMINISTRATION INQUIRED INTO By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Reo. July 19, 5.5 p.m.) Apia, July 18. The visit to Samoa of the Minister of External Affairs (the Hon. E. P. Leo) concluded on Sunday and the Minister and his party sailed in the evening for Pagopago, in the steamer Fortune, which was placed specially at Mr. Lee’s disposal by the Governor of American Samoa. At Pagopago the Ministerial party will join the Ventura for Sydney, catching the Manuka there for Wellington. Mr. Lee stated that during his thirteen days in Samoa he had an extremely busy time, many conferences having been held with the administrator and officers of all Departments and other bodies, resulting in many important matters relating to tho administration, being settled. He had. moreover, been enabled to make inquiry into the whole scheme of administration. and the information obtained on all sides had been valuable to the management of the Departments and the good of all. —Press Assn.
