SATURDAY WORK
REFUSED BY SYDNEY PLASTERERS. Sydney, July 19. Notwithstanding its recent decision in favour of tho 44-hour week, the Federal Arbitration Court has refused to abolish Saturday work in the building trades. A number of plasterers absented themselves on Saturday, and the employers declined to re-engage them on Monday unless they would agree to work on Sat-' urdavs. A mass meeting of mon decided to adhere to tho 44-hour week of five days.—Press Assn.
