AUSTRALIAN TARIFF BILL
HOUSE CARRIES THIRD READING. Melbourne, July 16. In ths House of Representatives, the Tariff Board Bill passed the third reading by 28 votes to 9, after an amendment had been carried against tho Ministry, by 22 votes to 21, providing for machinery to deal with manufacturers who refuse to trade with small retailors. The Senate debate on the tariff was adjourned till Tuesday.—Press Assn.
