ALLEGED THEFT OF MONEYS
AN ACCOUNTANT CHARGED. By Telegraph.—Brass Association. Nelson, July 16. In (he Magistrate’s Court to-day’, before Mr. J. 8. Evans, S.M., Trevor Burwood Carrgill, accountant, was charged on three separate informations with having received sums amounting in all to .£622, on behalf of the Union Bank of Australia, Nelson, and fraudulently omitted to account for them. Mr. Harley’, for the accused, asked that the case should be gone on with. He was informed that accused was prepared to plead guilty. A remand was granted till Monday afternoon. Bail, which was forthcoming immediately, was granted in one surety of £6OO, or three of £2OO.
