BIG EXTENSION OPENED. (Rec. July 10, 5.5 p.m.) London, July 8. The King, during the course of a brilliant river pageant, opened an extension of the Victoria and Albert docks. An enormous crowd witnessed tho ceremony. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. [The extension referred to above is said to bo the largest work so far undertaken by the Port of London Authority, and Will enable 30,000-ton vessels to berth within 6J miles of the heart of the city. It provides a wet dock of 64 acres, and a depth of 38 feet. There are fourteen berths frre the largest steamers, also- a dry dock 750 feet long, capable of extension.]
