BOUNTY MONEY AWARDED. (Rec. July 10, 5.5 p.m.) London, July 8. Bounty money awarded i n connection with the Battle of Jutland will be distributed to the officers and crows of 151 ships, tho lowest grade receiving 2s. and captains £8 4s. 3d.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. [Prize bounty is paid at the rate of d‘s per head for each person on board the enemy ship sunk or captured. The total is divided among the British ships participating, a commanding officer taking.Bo shares, a lieutenant 20, an able seaman 5. and a ship’s boy 1. For the Heligoland Bight action J 16145 was paid out in prize bounty to the ships concerned, end -£12.160 for the. Falkland Battle. The officers and crew of the Carmania got 412185 for the destruction of tho Cep Trafalgar. Naval prize money is a different thing from prize bounty, and is a general distribution of the proceeds, less expenses, etc., from the stile of’ captured merchant and other ships and cargoes.]
