BRITISH CORN SUBSIDY
REPEAL BILL SHARPLY CRITICISED. London, July 5. Members of agricultural constituencies sharply criticised tho Corn Production Act Repeal Bill, some saying that theAgricultural Wages Board should have been saved. Mr. F. D. July 7, 1.5 a.m.) i London, July 5. In the House of Commons the Agriculture Bill was read a second time by 268 votes to 113, amid ironical cheers and cries of "Resign.” Mr. Chamberlain, replying to the debate, emphasised that a mistake had been made, but a change of policy was announced before the farmers had spent a penny upon next season’s crops.
