WOOL COMMITTEE

FIRST MEETING THIS WEEK. The members of the "Wool Committee will hold their first meeting since appointment in M’ellington this week. They have already been in communication, Thoir chairman (Mr. T. R. Lees, Controller of the Department of Imperial Supplies) has been associated closely with the handling of wool for some time past, and-the other members, including Mr. A. E. Mabin, have been in intimate touch with the wool situation. The lines on which the committee-yvill work have already been laid down, but various details require consideration. The development of the scheme of wool control will depend upon the movements of the market, and if "is impossible yet Jo say what further powers may be required by the committee.
