ASSOCIATION OF NATIONS
PLAN FAVOURED BY PRESIDENT HARDING AN ADVISORY BODY By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Vancouver, June 20. The United Press Agency at Washington learns that a diplomatic report giving a rough outline of the Association of Nations’ plan, which is said to bo favoured by President Harding, has been eent to two of the South American Republics, which asked its representatives at Washington to report on the Harding Association.
The salient features, according to the report, are:—The association would havo no written constitution. It would perform its functions through a council of representatives of the nations, its decisions being advisory, rather than binding. The present Allied Supreme Council could be used as a nucleus. The plan calls for an International Law Cxurt, without compulsory arbitration, and without penalties flor failure to abide by the Court’s judgment.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
